Meyer lemons, lilies and white flowers, mint leaves, touch of stone/gravel on nose. Palate is clean yet elegantly loaded with perfectly ripened lemon, mandarin, florals... floating in a space of not being too bright nor too heavy... it's expressive and complex in a really balanced manner. Even blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, aged 7 months in the oak barrels that produced the previous year's Grand Cru. Located in Sauternes, Château Guiraud was the first of the Premier Grands Crus Classés en 1855 to receive Organic Farming certification (achieved in 2011). They practice biodiversity instead of chemicals to produce world-class grapes. ~ Bordeaux | France ~
