Pear, peach, yellow apple, whiffs of ripe lemon, slate. Smooth ripe lemon and spearmint on a minerally, gravelly palate. Refreshing and crisp but with fruit typical of Pinot Grigios from this region. Friuli is on the border region by the neighboring countries of Slovenia and Austria, and its unique history claimed by many over the centuries has impacted the winemaking styles to be not Italian, but uniquely Friulian. The Grave region is known for its gravel and alluvium soil; and as such, the wines are crisp and mineral driven.
