Bright with brambly berries, tart cherry, earthy cocoa notes. Palate is structured yet fresh and friendly, with black cherry and blueberry notes, some saline undertones on the finish.  From the Chalmers Family, pioneers in bringing climate-apt Italian varieties to Australia.  This bottling is from what they call their "Mother Block" where they have collected diverse plantings of Italian varietals over 20+ years and supply vines across Australia. This red is a blend of mostly Sagrantino and Nero d’Avola with also Aglianico, Sangiovese, Uva di Troia, Teroldego & Piedirosso - a "field blend" fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel.
