2020 Vintage:

This is Tuscany in a glass with blackberry, cherry, orange zest, musk, leather, tobacco, sweet purple flowers. The palate is berry-rich yet structured with vibrant minerality. The style of Montalcino is robust, austere, tannin-driven, masculine and powerful. 100% Sangiovese, the baby wine of the famous Brunello which is aged longer. The "Rosso" is the young, fresh version. Aged for 12 months in un-toasted Oak barrels and 3 months in bottles. Poggio Landi is a beautiful property, a project of the Alejandro Bulgheroni family. Let it open up + decant it. It's gorgeous!

 

2016 Vintage:

The Montalcino DOCG Poggio Landi 2016 is a fruity, fresh and elegant red wine. The striking characteristics of its composition – as per product specifications, the Rosso di Montalcino is only made with 100% Sangiovese grapes cultivated within the Montalcino territory – give way to a youthful wine that boasts the same superb structure of the Brunello. It is aged for 12 months in un-toasted Oak barrels and for a minimum period of 3 months in bottles.
