Lieu Dit is a relatively new winery, a partnership between friends Eric Railsback and Justin Willett in Santa Barbara. They are making solid, exciting, highly sought-after wines on the Central Coast, focusing on Loire Valley varietals. Roasted red pepper, dark violets, black plum, suede, tobacco, eucalyptus + graphite on the nose. The palate shifts to dark plum and perfectly ripe blackberries; well integrated tannins and a precise, structured finish with stone + pomegranate. 100% Cabernet Franc. Earning 95 pts from Wine Enthusiast, it is elegant and profound.
