Menthol, cigar box, cedar and ripe boysenberry on the nose; hints of graphite.  On palate, rocky vibes, vanilla undertones on a smooth dark fruit palate with hints of strawberry shortcake.  Fantastically complex at this price point.  Blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane and Sangiovese from low yielding vines.  The Trentadue family established themselves in the heart of the Alexander Valley in the late 1950s, at that time simply farmland and not the "wine country" it is today.  Their creed is to simplify wine, and championing the link betwen wine, food and everyday life.
