Palate is lively and herbal with notes of basil, pear, green apple, mandarin, lime & ginger. 100% Vermentino, which is flourishing in Australia along with other native Italian varietals with climate changes. The Chalmers family are pioneers in bringing climate-apt Italian varieties to Australia. With their first vintage of Vermentino in 2004 it has become their core white wine due to its suitability for this warm growing region. This bottling comes from their Heathcote vineyard which was part of their initial plantings in 2009. Elegant, fresh. Chalmers nursery and winemaking is completely family run.
