Bright and minerally with fresh citrus, white flowers & fresh linen. Palate is refreshing and crisp with orange blossom notes. A motherlode of Italian varietals, mostly Vermentino with also Fiano, Grechetto, Greco, Glera, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio which have been flourishing in Australia with the shifts in weather and climate. Mother Block is a project of Chalmers, a pioneering family in bringing Italian varietals suitable for the warm & hot climates to Australia starting in the late 1990s. This bottling is particularly special, as it a field blend of a slew of these varietals which were born in their family nursery.
