Lime, citrus groves, orange blossoms, bright minerality. Expressive yet super delicate with gentle touches of orange on fine, stony minerals. Mathias Hirtzberger is the son of winemaker Franz Hirtzberger, starting his own winery with his wife Anna with beautiful vineyards around Wösendorf in the Wachau. His vines grow on steep stone terraces and high sunny plateaus above the Danube. Harvested by hand; winemaking is minimal to express the vineyards and deliver distinct and authentic wine of the land. His philosophy of "as much as necessary, as little as possible" seems to sing from the glass. With its delicate nature, do not serve overly cold.
