Mamete Prevostini is in the Lombardy region of Italy, east of Piedmont. The Prevostini family has been producing wine on the steep terraced Alpine slopes of Valtellina since the mid-1940s, originally by the Grandfather Mamete for his restaurant customers, and today by Grandson, Mamete since 1995. 100% Nebbiolo designated as Alpi Retiche IGT Rosso. Mamete Prevostini is at least among, if not the best Nebbiolo producer in this "alternative' Alpine region for Nebbiolo.
