Concentrated berries, violets and cassis, with a sweet rustic vibe. This is classic Chianti Classico to its core, a blend of 90% Sangioveto (local Sangiovese clone) and 10% Canaiolo. Castellare di Castellina was born in the 1970s with the vision of evolution, focusing on traditional varietals,  innovation and working closer to the honesty of the soils in the region. The first vintage in 1977 had a goldfinch on the label, highlighting the little bird common in the Tuscan countryside. The tradition continues with a new bird each vintage, this year the Cinciallegra (Great Tit) known for its melodious song and nesting in trees near the vineyards.
