Strawberry fields, whiffs of vanilla cream, rhubarb, peonies, rose petals. Palate is scrumptious, full of energy, youthful with soft edges; strawberries on crushed lilac. 100% Pinot Meunier, most famously used in Champagne and hardly bottled on its own in France, it is actually a relatively popular still varietal in Germany. Embracing their Roman and Cistercian monk heritage while employing biodynamic principles, you can feel their energy when sipping this wine. Winemaker Claus Burmeister notes that "everything in our vineyards is allowed to bloom and live, our wines should combine this life and bring the magic of the place to the palate."
