This hot and sunny region in the south of Spain is known for its rich, dark, big and berry-driven wines; definitely indulgent yet can be real charmers. This Amalinda bottling is a gem of a find, giving all the depth of the Monastrell variety (known as Mourvèdre in France), but with its nuanced spice, cocoa notes and refined structure this wine is really quite the delicious surprise. Sourced from organic Monastrell vineyards, at 2000-2600 feet above sea level with very low yields per vine.  The low yielding vines give us concentrated berries, loaded with the essence of the soils; Aged for 2-3 months in new French and American oak 50/50.
